Charles River Laboratories

Charles River's Pennsylvania biologics operation began in 1987 as Tektagen, a contract testing lab it acquired in 1998. Its Malvern facility provides GMP-compliant biologics testing and manufacturing, including cell and virus bank production, and it opened a larger biologics facility in the Devon area to more than double regional capacity. Charles River overall is a global contract research organization serving pharma and biotech across drug discovery, safety assessment, and manufacturing support, with about $4 billion in annual revenue.
